Celery Cheese Swirls


Makes: 8 dozen slices


1 bunch (12 stalks) celery
1 ( 8 ounce ) package cream cheese , softened
3/4 cup shredded American cheese
4 hard-cooked eggs , finely chopped
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon onion , finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper


Separate celery into stalks; trim, and wash thoroughly. Combine cream cheese and American cheese; blend until smooth. Add milk, onion, garlic, eggs, salt and pepper; mix until well blended. Spread cream cheese mixture on each celery stalk. Press 3 stalks together, and secure with rubber bands. Chill 1 hour. Cut into 1/4 to 1/2-inch slices.
