Favorite Holiday Crafts & Activities

The holidays are all about bringing family and friends together and spending times with your loved ones. In between the cooking and eating, it’s always fun to have extra fun activities to do. We’ve gathered some of our favorite holiday crafts and activities to share with your friends and family:

1. Jingle Bells: We know you’ll have tons of egg carts leftover from all of that holiday cooking, so before you toss them in the trash, try turning them into jingle bell ornaments. This is an easy and fun project that the kids will surely enjoy!

2. Egg Carton Tree: Save one egg carton to make this adorable egg carton tree. Pre-cut the individual egg slots out of the carton (see instructions here) and let your kids decorate. This is a great idea for any age.

3. Peppermint Meringue: Have a bunch of candy canes around and don’t know what to do with them? Here  is a great recipe for peppermint meringue cookies – and the great thing is, you probably already have all of the ingredients in your kitchen!

4. Decorate Cookies: Use our holiday cookie recipe and leave out the cherries to make a perfect blank canvas for your edible art project. For an extra touch, use shaped cookie cutters like these. Decorate with frosting and sprinkles, and make sure you embrace the mess – it’s part of the fun!

Wishing you and your family a happy, safe, and delicious holiday season from the North Carolina’s Egg Farmers!
