Southern Deviled Eggs
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ teaspoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
Salt and pepper to taste
Cut eggs in half lengthwise. Remove yolks. Mash with a fork and mix with remaining ingredients. Mound mixture into egg whites. Sprinkle with paprika and/or garnish with a piece of pimento.
Variations: Add any of the following ingredients to yolk mixture and adjust seasonings to taste:
ham, onion, capers, pimiento, tuna, chives, mushrooms, spinach, nuts, olives, bacon, cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa
